Barbara Taylor Biography
Barbara Taylor is a strong Republican who became involved in Delaware County politics in 2002 when she served as the campaign chairman for a local candidate. She became a member of the Delaware County Republican Women’s Club in 2003, and has served as treasurer since 2010 and historian since 2011. Barbara has served on committees for both Club and Central Committee functions. She supported Republican Headquarters, where she continues to volunteer, by performing office duties, making phone calls, and preparing literature and mailings for candidates. She has also walked door-to-door passing out Republican literature. Barbara served as the Delaware County Chief Deputy Recorder (2003-06) and the Assistant Director of the City of Muncie Community Development Office (2007-11). She has served as a vice precinct committeeman and is currently a precinct committeeman. She has also served as an inspector, clerk, and judge on election days, or campaigned outside the polls for candidates. Barbara is married to Robert and they have a son, a grandson, and a granddaughter. Barbara was honored by the Indiana Federation of Republican Women as their 2014 Delaware County Honoree.
